A. Class Observation

Classes are handled by Pre-Service Teachers (PSTs). There are different teachers in every grading period. Classes are visited every period by the Supervising Teachers. Proper daily routine in the class is done. The content in the learning plan is implemented through activities and discussion. Proper learning aids are utilized. The teaching duration for each subject is 1 hour and every PSTs required to stamp their time card before and after teaching.

B. Teaching Method

EHS used learner-centered learning method. This method encompasses methods of teaching that shift focus of instruction from the teacher to the students. It puts students’ interests first, acknowledging student voice as central to the learning experience. The paper addresses learner centered method and what it brings to knowledge transmission; it is also to understand the various types of learner centered methods of teaching and its importance to teaching and learning in the 21st century. These methods include:
- Active learning, in which students solve problems, answer questions, formulate questions of their own, discuss, explain, debate, or brainstorm during class.
- Cooperative learning, in which students work in teams on problems and projects under conditions that assure both positive interdependence and individual accountability.
- Inductive teaching and learning, in which students are first presented with challenges. Inductive methods include inquiry-based learning, case-based instruction, problem-based learning, project-based learning, discovery learning, and just-in-time teaching.

C. Learning Material and Innovation

Every PSTs required to teach traditionally (1st & 2nd quarter) and in modern way (3rd & 4th quarter). This happens because not all schools in the Philippines applied technology in their learning process. Also this can train all PSTs to be ready for teaching in all circumstances. All courses refers to K-12 Curriculum but the PSTs have to make their own Curriculum Guide. This guide has to be accepted by the Supervising Teacher first before they teach the students. Not only that, they have to be creative and innovative in developing it so the learning process become effective and meaningful.

D. Source of Learning and Technology

EHS use textbooks and internet resources. The textbook are very comprehensive and can handle all students needs. The textbook not only provide materials but also learning objectives, values, and it’s practical in the daily life. It also include practice exercise and test assessment so that can develop student critical thinking and problem solving skills. The textbooks can be obtained by purchasing at a local bookstore or online shop, or by borrowing from the EHS’s library.

All faculty members and PST’s shall use UST Cloud Campus powered by Canvass platform to have single repository of all learning materials, for consistent access to students and for ease of monitoring user activity of both students and faculty. Available video conferencing tools integrated in Blackboard. Other technology tools and video conferencing tools may be used by faculty members for as long as they are all integrated in the Canvass, such as Zoom and Google Meet.

Supervising teacher check carefully all the assessment. Expect short quizzes in each subject for every learning plan. This can be given face to face and online. The grade from these quizzes will be computed as part of the written works. Mastery and Periodical are given onsite. Students are required to use long white folder as cover for their test paper during major exams. Classes are suspended during Periodical Test.
