EHS use K-12 Curriculum in learning process. There’s general consideration in curriculum development : UN Sustainable Development Goals, Philippine Development Program, Department of Education, and School Mission & Vision. Supervising teachers will mentor/train the Pre-Service Teacher (PSTs) in preparing a good instructional material as enumerated below :

Curriculum guide – used by the teacher only. It consisted of grading period, grade level, subject, number of weeks, Thomasian core values, Thomasian graduate attributes, allocated time, week no, unit title, content standard from DepEd, MELCS with code, social integration objectives, social issue, value integration, pre-assessment (formative, recorded but not computed), exercises and activities (formative, recorded but not computed), lesson/discussion (both for onsite and online classes), writing activity assessment reflection (short quizzes around 5-10 items only given after the class, to be answered in the activity notebook and be recorded), references textbook with pages/e-learning materials/link.

Learners Map – will be provided by the teacher for each subject at the start of every grading period. It consisted of competencies to be developed, topics to be covered, learning resources and materials, assessment to be conducted, performance tasks to be required, rubrics for grading, and grading scheme.

Weekly Instructional Plan – will be provided for each class by the class adviser before each week. It consisted of topics to discuss per day, materials to use, assessment schedule, submissions and deadline, and special activities.

Learning Plan – used by the teacher only. It consisted of unit/learning plan title, social integration, competency/objective, teaching strategy (with topics or content to cover and step by step procedure. May include questions and possible answers), assessment with questions, and instructional materials and resources.

B. Steps for Preparing A Lesson Plan (for Grand Demo)

To be able doing the actual teaching, every PSTs have to make their lesson plan. In my case, Ana (my buddy) give all the materials needed so I can do my own research. I spent 3 days to done my lesson plan, and after that I have to discussed it to my buddy then revised it based on her feedback. After that, I submitted it to Sir Jai (my supervising teacher).
